About The World Star Gazette

The World Star Gazette is the first, best and only online newspaper that treats blog entries as news stories. It is an entertaining portal for discovering the most interesting blogs on the blogosphere, which accepts submissions from blog writers and blog readers.
Developed by Peter Bleickardt, Rhys Southan and Joe Weisenthal, it went online on March 1, 2004. Rhys and Joe, the editors, manage the content, writing headlines for the blog entries they feel are worthy of mention. Rhys lives in Austin, Texas where he cooks at a macrobiotic restaurant and writes for a living. Joe moved from Austin in April, relocating to New York City where he researches investments. Peter Bleickart, the World Star Gazette Web developer, created and maintains the site. He hails from Middletown, New Jersey, where he makes his living developing Web sites.
Rhys and Joe have previously collaborated on a number of creative projects together, most famously the satiric libertarian musical comedy
Who is Jim Holt? and the live musical sitcom Stuck in Delaware. Peter and Rhys' previous collaborations include
The Motion Picture Industry: Behind-the-Scenes, a Web site about filmmaking that won the 1997 ThinkQuest competition. The World Star Gazette is the first project to bring all three creative forces together, under one calligraphied banner.
